Announcing the Winner

And the winner is…

Thank you to all who entered! And Nicole, I will send out your present on Monday!

I also had someone send me an email this week of an item they would like to see in the store. I thought it was a good idea and so I thought I would ask you all if you have anything you would like to see in the store. I can’t promise it will make an appearance, but I will definitely take your suggestions and consider them! Also, if there is something you want that’s not in the store, I do take custom orders :)

And, here a scrapbook page to leave you with that I made a few months ago. My first shot at using a transparency for a background.

Now, off to be creative…

Check Out My New Plog!

No, this is not a typo, I really did mean to write Plog. See, plog is a term I made up that is a contraction of scrap and log. Jason added a tab on our site for my new scrap log. I wanted a place where I could post my scrapbooking layouts and other such things that the ordinary person reading our blog might find boring but fellow scrapbookers might enjoy seeing. So there you have it, I blog and plog! Check it out! You can also go directly to it: www.dykast.us/scraplog

Happy looking…

I Am Now A Plogger

Lately I have really been enjoying reading other scrapbookers’ blogs so I decided it is time for me to make my own. I have been sporadically blogging on our site for a couple of months now but I have so much more to say when it comes to scrapbooking. So today I told Jason to set one up for me and he did! In a matter of minutes I have my own scrap log. I came up with that scrap log (plog) thing by the way. I thought it was pretty clever :)

So anyway, I am realizing more and more that I need to be learning how to take better pictures. I feel that that is my greatest weakness in scrapbooking, so I am going to start playing around more with my camera and trying new things.

This morning we went for a run in our neighborhood and I noticed this completely gorgeous tree. It’s leaves are totally yellow and there are still a bunch on the tree as well as on the ground. So this afternoon I made Jason stop studying and we headed down the road with our camera so I could see if I could capture any pictures worth keeping of this beautiful tree. Of course I made Jason jump in the picture—I’m not much of a nature only kind of girl—I need a human subject as well. I actually got some shots I was happy with (not that I want any people who are professional photographers to look at them!).

So today has been good so far, it’s always fun to try new things. Plus I got my new Creating Keepsakes in the mail and that always makes my day!

The first plog article

This is the place where Kellie will be doing her plogging. Plog is a contraction of the words “scrap” and “log” – a scrap log. Plogging is totally rufus!

Hello, and welcome to my little blog! What started out as a blog to show some of my scrapbook pages ended up being a blog that shows all of my projects, ranging from scrapbooking to decorating to sewing to photography. I also run a little online shop called every jot & tittle where I sell handmade paper products. Take a look and leave me a comment to say hi! (Photo by Heather Smith.)
