Photo 365: 08.24.11 – 08.30.11

Another round of photos, here we go! Remember my challenge to myself from last week? I wanted to take my daily self portraits away from my house. It’s so easy for me to snap a photo at home but I wanted to take them elsewhere. And the result? I did a pretty good job. I got 5 out of 7 days away from the house. One of those days I literally didn’t go anywhere nor did I have time to leave and the other day I didn’t go anywhere because I didn’t feel like it :) Here are a couple for you to see:

Last week at church. I hopped up on the stool, left my camera on self timer in a chair in front of me and snapped the picture.

At the library. I didn’t want to leave it on self timer because it beeps and it might disturb the peace, so I just did a handheld shot with the books in the background. I love all the colors.

In my car, in the parking lot at Blockbuster. I love how you can see all the shops (and my arms/camera) in the reflection of my sunglasses.

This is the first shot with my new camera from our time on Sunday exploring downtown. I was trying out one of the new features that this camera has: a swivel LCD screen. It’s super great for self portraits because I can turn the screen to face me and actually see what I am shooting. It takes a bit of getting used to and this picture isn’t tack sharp but like I said, I was still in test mode :)

I don’t have a new theme for this up coming week so I will see where my creativity leads me. Hopefully somewhere creative :) Probably trying new things with my camera. That’s always fun :)
