Photo 365: 08.10.11 – 08.16.11
Sorry for not posting yesterday. I ended up helping a friend pick up something in Florida. So we left early in the morning, drove to Florida and drove home. It took us about 14 hours so I didn’t really have time to put a post together :) It was a good trip though and I enjoyed myself. Today, I feel like I have a lot to accomplish to make up for a day of no progress (around the house that is). I’m excited though, I have lots of ideas for things to do. Now I just have to do them. That is the hard part!!
This past week for Photo 365, I focused on reflections. I tried to take shots of my reflection rather than me. I really, really, really wanted it to rain so I could get my reflection in a puddle but no such luck this week. It was as dry as can be. There is a chance that there could be some rain this week though, so I might extend my reflections idea to span two weeks instead of just one. I hope I can get a puddle post :)

I started off with taking a photo looking into my computer screen. The light was coming in just right and I love how the pattern of the curtain makes shapes on my face. This was what sparked the whole reflections theme so I just went with it.

This is a tricky photo because you can see my larger reflection in the mirror (boring, I’ve done that before) but you can also see my reflection in the vase, several times actually. I love how the vase gives you a whole warped shot of the room. Like a fish eye lens. This was taken in my bedroom by the way.

This looks like just a shot of my husband… but wait! There I am in his glasses. Aren’t I sneaky :) And yes, I know, I’m a big dork.

And lastly, I recently moved this dresser down to the basement because I don’t have a spot upstairs for it right now. While we work out we can now see ourselves in the mirror and it feels weird. I grabbed my camera and set it up on a tripod to take this shot of me doing yoga. It was on self timer so I’m not actually in the the middle of our work out but you get the idea, right? I admit, I’m a cheater :)
Can you believe what I missed out on though? I was in the car for 14 hours yesterday and I forgot to take a photo of me in the side mirror. I even brought my camera and still forgot. How can you forget something for 14 hours? It’s terrible really. And pathetic. Oh well, if I continue on in my theme of reflections, I will grab one this week!
