New Coffee Table And Other Stuff
My life has been just a little bit crazy over here, hence the lack of regular posts. The main reason it’s crazy is that next week my older brother, Josh, his wife, Jodi, and their 5 kids, plus my younger brother, Brett, are all coming to visit. This will be the first time Josh and his family have been to Tennessee so we are all really excited. What that means is I have to have all of my Christmas decorating done before they get here because we will be celebrating Christmas while they are here. That’s early for me. I usually get everything out the day after Thanksgiving and then work on anything I want to make here and there throughout the month of December. Now, I only have one week left to finish everything! But what that means is I will have lots of stuff to share with you! So get ready, starting Friday, I will be posting Christmas projects until you are sick of them! Lots of fun stuff coming your way.
Moving on… I snapped a few quick pictures of my living room this morning because there have been a few changes in there (by the way, sorry about the pictures, it was foggy this morning and so the pictures are dark). A few months ago I had an idea for a new coffee table. I wasn’t disliking my old one, I just thought it would be fun to have a new one :) So I decided to post it on craigslist and see if i could sell it. After it sold (yay!) I enlisted my husband’s help on the new one that was in my head. It’s a very simple design (I’m sure there are others floating out there online) and I love it!
It didn’t take Jason very long to make it and then I just painted it and ta-da! It’s done and in its new home :) If anyone is interested in the steps how to make one for yourself, let me know and I will see if I can persuade Jason to write them up.
And maybe you noticed another addition to the living room??
This little baby came home with me yesterday from the thrift store. I got it for $15! My Mom found it for me and I knew I had to have it. I’m not sure if it will stay there but it will definitely end up somewhere in the living room.
I have some more changes coming to the living room as well but the reveal will have to wait until after Christmas because I have too many Christmas projects to share first. So at least there will be something to look forward to after the holiday posts are done!
Have a very Happy Thanksgiving and I will be back on black Friday!!!

Kellie,
How could you do a GORGEOUS post about this room and not include info on the lovely brown paint color?
Cris,
Haha! I guess I have had this paint color for so long I forget it’s there :) The color is called backdrop and it’s from Sherwin Williams. It’s actually a brown-gray color and looks more brown here than normal because the room is so dark in these photos :)
Gorgeous! and bring on the Christmas posts! SO excited!
Kel, awesome! It would be a great place for four people to play hand and foot…we’ve been playing with some friend over here and I’ve been missing our real partners all week. It’s killing me! Have a great time with the fam. I know you will. Love you!
love that chair! and your coffee table is awesome. great job.
