Scrapbooking: Our Family Rocks!

Once again, I’m sorry for the break in posts. But this time I have a legitimate excuse, I was in Oregon on vacation. I was planning on posting while I was there but I didn’t have internet access so I will share with you now instead!

My parents live in Brazil for 5 or 6 months out of the year. Recently, they purchased a house here in Tennessee and will live here for the other months. It’s been wonderful for us to have them so close as we have been apart for the four years since Jason and I moved here. And better yet, they only live 1.5 miles from our house. It truly is a joy! We have had them here with us since before Christmas and have been loving every minute. Two weeks ago, it was time to see them off for Brazil once again. It’s really sad to have them go but easier knowing I will see them in 5 months and they will be HERE! Yay for me :)

Since they were getting ready to leave I made a little mini book for my mom for Mother’s day so she could take it to Brazil with her and have pictures of our family. Here are some pages from it:

family rocks 8

family rocks 10

family rocks 12

family rocks 15

I used a lot of papers from my favorite source… again. I just can’t seem to get enough of it! Next time I will try to branch out a little bit more, I promise!

If you would like to see the rest of this mini book, head to my flickr account. I have posted the whole thing there.

Today I am painting my bedroom! I painted one wall last year and have decided to go for it and paint the whole bedroom the same color. I already have the first coat done and am getting ready to start on the second coat. I will definitely post pictures when the room is put back together but there are a few more other projects I want to get done first in the room so hopefully it will be soon :)

Now that summer is here has anyone gone on any vacations or doing any fun projects around the house? Surely I’m not the only one! Do tell…
