Fun With Fabric: I Made Pajamas
Back in February, I posted a picture of some fabric Jason’s Mom got for me to make some pajamas. I made the pajamas and then forgot to post the finished product :) Today, I am going to make up for that and let you take a peek.
The pattern is from Amy Butler’s In Stitches and the fabric is also Amy Butler. They are called the wide leg lounge pants and let me tell you, they are wide! I was a little bit worried when I first started because they look so wide but they turned out well.
Here’s me modeling them. They are so wide, you can’t see my feet! I like to think of them as built in socks because if I’m cold I just tuck my feet up in them when I’m lounging :)
I only made a couple of changes to the pattern. First, I added elastic to the waist band because I don’t like only having a drawstring to keep them on. It was a simple little adjustment but definitely improved them for me. Also, the pattern calls for trim for the bottom but I just used another coordinating fabric instead. Here are some shots up close:
Cute huh?! A bonus, because they have such wide legs, they are super comfortable. Although I must say, because they are wide legged, they aren’t very flattering on me :) But who cares, I only wear them at home. And comfort definitely rules over style in my house!

They are fantabulous! Huge fan of Amy Butler.
These are great! If I could do something like this I would save tons of money!
