Hooray For Cupcakes!
Last week I was craving cupcakes. We don’t make them very often (okay, almost never) but I really wanted some. On Sunday we were having a church potluck and so guess what we brought? Cupcakes :)
Besides wanting cupcakes, I also wanted to play with my paper pack that I recently got and so I decided to add little flags to the cupcakes. A bit much for a potluck, maybe, but sometimes adding something special to ordinary things makes it that much more fun!
Here are some pictures:
The back of the flags all said, “enjoy”
To make the flags all you have to do is cut paper into strips, snip the ends like a reverse arrow point and punch two little holes on the ends to thread a toothpick through. Then curl the paper to create the little wave. Super easy :)
By the way, the cupcakes were awesome! I wanted to try something different so I got a recipe from marthastewart.com for snickerdoodle cupcakes. Seriously, the BOMB!!! Only I didn’t use the frosting that was recommended because I didn’t have enough eggs. I used this frosting. Mmmm… I may have to make another batch :)

CUTE!! Can you send those to TX too please? (The cupcakes, I mean. Although the flags are cute too, I think I could handle those on my own. :)
There is definitely a cupcake craze. We have been loving cupcakes. Yummy. Great idea with the flags! Too cute!
They look awesome. Russell calls all dessert birthday cake. So he would love that birthday cake. Actually, he had a cupcake “birthday cake” last night left over from this weekend. You two have a lot in common;)
Kellie,
I just saw those snickerdoodle cupcakes on Martha and am just waiting for the perfect opportunity to make them….and I think tomorrow just might be the perfect time!
