Alana’s Bedroom Completed!
Last week I blogged about the nursery makeover my friend Heather were working on for her daughter, Alana. We have now finished it and I have some pictures to share with you. It turned out so cute and it’s very bright and cheery! Just to remind you, here is the before:
By the way, all of these pictures were taken from Heather’s blog.
And here are some after pictures (also taken from Heather’s blog!):
Heather and I got to work on some serious painting! We painted the walls an awesome Tiffany blue color called Tidewater from Sherwin Williams and then Heather painted a bunch of the accessories white. Oh, the power of paint!! Right after we painted the walls, Heather went on vacation and so I asked her if I could take the Amy Butler fabric that we had picked out so I could make the valance. I took it home with me and while she was gone I made the valance, comforter, bird mobile and elephant pillow to surprise her. It was super fun, I love surprises! You can see each of these items in the next couple of pictures.
Again, I don’t remember where I saw the original elephant pillow that we copied but we wanted make it in the fabrics that we were already using so we just made our own.
A close up of the valance with another little bird perched on top.
A close up of one of the birds from the mobile.
As I mentioned in my previous post, you can make your own bird mobile with the free bird pattern found here. Also, all the cute prints on the walls are from Sugarloop.
You can see a bunch more pictures on Heather’s blog. Check it out here
