My Mom And Dad Are So Cool
As I’ve said before, I love my Mom and Dad. They are so cool. This past week and a half, they were here visiting us and we squeezed as much fun as we could into our time together. Not only did I have fun but I also got spoiled :)
My birthday is coming up and so I got to help pick out my presents :) My bedroom was somewhat of a train wreck and so my Mom and I decided to focus our energy there. My Mom always comes up with amazing ideas and we had so much fun shopping for things and just enjoying one another’s company.
We also enlisted the help of my Dad. He is equally amazing! I had been admiring this console table from West Elm, thinking it would be perfect in my bedroom:
And so, my Dad made me one! And, even better, I got to customize it because I really wanted it to be done in white lacquer instead of wood. As I said, he is amazing! Here are some pictures:
The boxes underneath were also a present that we found on one of our shopping days and they now house our dirty laundry. My Mom and I love to find bargains and these were one of them, $12.50 each! Such a good find :) The mirror I already had and was hiding out in our basement and the jewelry box I previously kept in the closet. With it all put together, I love it!
We did a few other things to the bedroom while they were here and I will post about them soon, stay tuned :) Also, I just added a few new items to 2pear, including some awesome mod plates that Mom and I found in our travels. Take a look!

We DID have fun didn’t we?! I miss you already.
Oh so cool! SO glad you guys had a great time.
very cool—how did your dad make that? love it.
Can your dad come and make me the original one? Ya know, just cuz he loves you and I read your blog?
NICE. Aren’t dads the greatest?!
OOH! I am in love with your lacquered version of the WE console table. I’ve been coveting it too but it just costs too much for such a simple object.
Would your dad mind sharing how he made yours? It’s much closer to what my husband and I would like in our home (we’re into white right now).
Thanks!
