I’m Still Here!

I know, I know, it’s been awhile since I’ve plogged but I’m still here. I’ve been crazy busy with Etsy, I can’t even begin to tell all of the cool things that have happened. So instead of even trying, I thought I would share a few non Etsy projects I have squeezed into my limited spare time.

Here are a couple of scrapbook pages I have created:

I just made this page yesterday. I made this page based on the blog One Little Word. They put a word out there and you create a layout based on that word. It’s a fun concept.

This page I made using the Red Velvet kit for this month. They have just started making scrapbooking kits and this is the first one. I absolutely love it!

My next project was wall art for my guest bathroom. Jason’s parents came to visit for a week and so I painted the bathroom and got it all ready for them. Once painted, I realized I desperately needed something for the wall above the toilet. So here’s what I came up with:


I used some photoshop brushes (the flowers are from Design Fruit) to create the bird and flower design then I cut it out on black paper. Next I mounted the design on white paper. Then I used an old hymns and tore little bits from them to create the mat. I also used the hymn book cover page (basically a blank page but I wanted the same paper color as the hymns) and ran it through my printer to make the verse that’s pasted on the white paper. If you can’t read it it says, “the birds of the heavens have their home; they sing among the branches.” Anyway, I was happy with the way it turned out and I like the black frame with the bathroom wall color (and yes, that is the actual paint color!).
