It Was A Magical Christmas

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas yesterday! We had such a great time with family and friends, I was sad to see it come to an end. On the bright side, my little brother will be coming for a visit on Monday and then we are going to have another Christmas with him! So our festivities are just beginning I suppose :)
I came across this little photography trick on the internet a while back and thought I would try it since our tree was so brightly lit:

If your tree is still up and you want to turn the lights into hearts, all you have to do is cut a small heart shape in the middle of a piece of paper and then hold it in front of your lens. I had to play around with it a bit to get the settings right to make the effect work (I have an SLR) but I figured it out and I love it! I would like to play around a bit more with it and try other shapes as well. I also can’t wait to try it with some city lights. I’m thinking I need to go to the top of Lookout Mountain and take a picture from up there. It would be magical :)
Next week I will be back to regular posting although I can’t promise that it will be every day. I’m still working on having enough content for every day posting. That makes for a lot of projects and I’m not sure my life is that exciting! Ha ha ha… Now I’m off for some fun after Christmas shopping!
Hello, and welcome to my little blog! What started out as a blog to show some of my scrapbook pages ended up being a blog that shows all of my projects, ranging from scrapbooking to decorating to sewing to photography. I also run a little online shop called
